Get the glow with Sun Drops
Did you know that you can use your Sun Drops on your body as well? Simply apply a few drops to your body lotion, gently glide the mixture across your skin, and let it settle. In a short while, you’ll notice the radiance work its way to your skin while the complex of hydrating and nourishing ingredients leave a silky-soft result.
No orange residue, no distinctive odor, no discolored patches – because self-tanning shouldn’t be more complicated than that. And voilá, a sun-kissed tint and dewy result await!
Strawberry skin, meet Skin Perfector 2% BHA
The term strawberry skin describes the appearance of small, dark, or reddish dots or specks on the surface of the skin. The dots often resemble the seeds on the surface of a strawberry, hence the name. It's an umbrella term that covers all occurrences involving these outbreaks – but most often, it's associated with the skin condition Keratosis Pilaris.
The spots are often due to enlarged or clogged pores, ingrown hairs, folliculitis (inflammation of the hair follicles), or the presence of build-up of trapped dirt, oil, or dead skin cells. Also, shaving or hair removal methods like waxing can exacerbate the appearance of strawberry skin by causing irritation and ingrown hairs.
So, how can you treat the condition? Maintaining good hygiene by washing with gentle cleansing actives, exfoliating regularly, using moisturizers, can help reduce the appearance of strawberry skin – not to mention being gentle and thorough with hair removal processes, if you practice these.
Also, you can look for skincare ingredients that decongest clogged pores and dissolves build-up. Salicylic acid is an example of such an ingredient, helping to promote an even skin tone and texture. Our leave-on exfoliant Skin Perfector 2% BHA is enriched with salicylic acid alongside brightening vitamin C and replenishing hyaluronic molecules, which makes it an effective remedy to use on e.g. arms affected by strawberry skin.
SPF, SPF, SPF ...
Did you know that UV-rays account for more than 80% of premature signs of aging?
That’s why we’ll gladly remind you of the importance of using a broad-spectrum SPF, as it’s alpha omega when it comes to retaining healthy, smooth, and even-toned skin. And while some think to seem that the skin on our body is tougher than our facial skin, the sun doesn’t discriminate. That’s why it’s vital to cover all body parts exposed to sun rays in nourishing SPF – especially between 12 PM and 3 PM, when the sun is at its strongest.
And make sure you remember often-overlooked areas such as your ears, neck, chest, and feet – pay careful attention to every inch to prevent skin damage and premature aging signs such as skin sagging, rough texture, and fine lines.
